Soya Seekh Kebabs Recipe

  • 3 medium potatoes, we can also use sweet potatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups soya granules
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarsely crushed pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon amchur
  • 2 tablespoons roasted besan
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for shallow frying

Method

  • Boil green peas and potatoes until done without turning them mushy.
  • Add soya granules to hot water for 15 minutes and drain out excess water.
  • Dry roast the besan flour until it gives aroma.
  • Mash the veggies and mix them with soya granules, besan, ginger-garlic garlic paste, and other dry spices. Mix well and make dough.
  • Divide the dough and make equal portions and roll them on skewers/seekh about 3 to 4 inches long.
  • Fry in olive oil on medium flame to get a smooth texture and colour.
  • Once kebabs turned into golden colour, serve them with hot mint chutney, onion and lemon wedges and salad.
